This is how you can Support ATMASANGA’S URBAN TREE PLANTING CAMPAIGN!

Help us plant at least 1000,000 new trees in Pondicherry-Chennai region

Dear Friends of the Environment,

ATMASANGA ENVIRONMENT ALLIANCE is a non-profit NGO functioning as a unit of AUROVILLE. We are currently engaged in a mass URBAN TREE PLANTING campaign. In the first 100 days of the campaign we have planted over 5000 tree saplings in Pondicherry city, Villupuram district and Chennai city. A few dedicated volunteers and friends of Atmasanga have financially supported this effort so far. We have set up a plant nursery for this purpose in about half acre land in Kalapet near Auroville.

Planting TREES require quite a bit of manpower and expenditure. Besides setting up a plant nursery, it involves transporting the saplings to various places, providing tree guards, digging holes, etc. We request everybody to kindly support this effort by donating money generously. Donations are eligible for tax exemption under section 80G of IT Act.

This is our “WISH LIST” – you could sponsor as per your convenience:

COST OF PLANTING TREE (nursery maintenance, transport, digging, planting) approximately – Rs 100/- Each
COST OF TREE GUARD – Rs 350/- Each
EARTH AUGER power tool for digging holes, reducing manpower (one machine required urgently) – RS 75,000/-
LOAD CARRIER TRUCK for transport of workers and saplings to various locations – RS 10,00000/- (10 LACS)
